This position is for Socorro New Mexico.
It is an entry level position that requires the development and consistent application of quality concepts and principles in the design and manufacture of aerospace components. This will be accomplished through a wide variety of Quality Engineering assignments.
Quality Engineers are responsible for ensuring that delivered products and/or services conform to contractual and the Company's requirements by designing, implementing, evaluating and continually improving quality assurance and control methods and systems. They translate design drawings and contractual requirements into a comprehensive, understandable and functional quality plan; monitor and closely support manufacturing, inspection and supplier functions that relate to product quality; coordinate with the customer the establishment of government quality requirements and material review board activities; represent quality assurance in corrective action activities; and participate in audits or product evaluation to determine the effectiveness of the quality assurance program.
Under close supervision, the Associate Quality Engineer performs entry level professional assignments
and follows established policies. This position requires some professional judgment and a limited use
and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts.
25% - Creation and approval of Certifications of Conformance.
20% - Processing and Tracking open Non-conformance and Corrective Action Reports.
20% - Reviewing process planning to ensure compliance with drawing, specification and contractual requirements.
20% - Support both Aerojet Rocketdyne shop floor and vendor production. Participate in the disposition of discrepant hardware and the development of corrective action and process improvements.
15% - The development and/or modification of engineering designs and specifications for translation into robust and efficient manufacturing and inspection verification methods.
A Bachelor''s degree in an appropriate discipline (Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering, preferred), or related major, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Solid communication skills, both oral and written, required. Solid academic track record of accomplishment. Demonstrated teamwork experience.
Related internship experience in quality assurance, or coursework in quality assurance, a PLUS.
Ability to audit, interpret and evaluate data and processes.
Experience with using a variety of test, inspection and measurement equipment, a plus.
Read and interpret blueprints and related specifications.
Apply and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;).
Conduct investigation, studies and research.
Ability to deal with multiple tasks and deadlines set by management.
Ability to work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
