BEHAVIORAL HEALTH / MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST This licensed professional position works as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in collaboration with primary care providers, to support the behavioral, physical and psychosocial needs of a diverse patient population within an outpatient primary or integrated care setting.
This provider engages in direct patient care through brief solution-focused interventions, referral and coordination of specialty mental health services as needed (i.
e.
, SBIRT - Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment), and psycho-education.
REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND/OR
Experience:
Minimum of Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
Bilingual Spanish or Navajo preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Non-Independent New Mexico State licensure as a Master's level mental health counselor, or social worker is required, e.
g.
, LPC, LMHC, LAMFT, or LMSW.
Must have by date of hire and maintain current throughout employment.
Have or be able to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire.
Certifications must meet the requirements listed in the document BLS / CPR / ACLS & First Aid Training Resources posted on Staurolite.
It is your responsibility to keep your certifications current at all times.
